About the event

ANGELOS EPITHEMIOU

A regular crowd-pleaser, Angelos is the unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2), Dave’s One Night Stand, and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show. Created by the critically acclaimed performer Dan Renton Skinner, Angelos has shone in blockbuster films like The Spy Who Dumped Me, High Rise, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films. He’s also graced TV classics such as The Tracy Ullman Show, Friday Night Dinner, and The Wrong Mans.

But Angelos isn't just a TV star—he’s a phenomenal stage performer, known for his appearances at top comedy clubs with his trusty carrier bag in hand. If you haven’t seen Angelos live and you love great comedy, it’s time to make a change.

Patrick Monahan is an Irish-Iranian comedian, born on June 23, 1976, in Ahvaz, Iran. Known for his energetic and engaging stand-up performances, Patrick has become a regular favorite at comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe1. He gained recognition by winning the ITV stand-up comedy contest Show Me the Funny in 2011.

Patrick's humor often draws from his unique life experiences, including his multicultural background and his long-standing relationship with his girlfriend, Jordanna. He is also known for holding the world record for the "Longest Hug" alongside fellow comedian Bob Slayer, set at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013.

Beyond stand-up, Patrick has appeared in various TV shows such as Shooting Stars, Dave’s One Night Stand, and The Angelos Epithemiou Show. He continues to tour extensively, performing at top comedy clubs and venues across the UK and internationally1.

If you enjoy great comedy with a personal touch, Patrick Monahan is a must-see performer.

Sol Bernstein, known as the "World's Oldest Living Jewish Comedian," has had a remarkable career spanning decades. Born in Ukraine, Sol escaped the Pogroms in Russia and the Nazis in Germany as a child, which shaped his unique perspective on life and comedy.

Sol is a versatile entertainer, excelling as a singer, dancer, comedian, magician, actor, and musician. He was even rated the Best Triangle Player by jazz legends Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, and Duke Ellington in the 1950s. Throughout his career, Sol has performed at prestigious venues such as The London Palladium, New York’s Carnegie Hall, The Paris Olympia, and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Despite his impressive resume, Sol humorously laments that he never received a "thank you" from the many stars he helped launch, including Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Marcel Marceau. His comedy is filled with tales from his high life in showbiz, musings on how the world has changed, and his unbounded wit and chutzpah1.

Sol's charisma and unique style have earned him friendships with greats like Burt Bacharach, James Brown, and Harry Hill. Even in his 80s, Sol continues to perform at top comedy clubs across the UK, bringing laughter and joy to audiences with his timeless humor.
